Beat the Heat
Learning how to stay cool on the hot days of summer is crucial. Here are our tips and tricks for beating the heat during summer, and what we recommend for staying hydrated, including CBD options and CBD recipes!
Most people living in the more extreme heat are “used” to it, to some degree at least, no one is really used to days that are 115° or higher, we just know that it’s hot and we try to avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day. But not everyone can avoid it, especially those who work in a field that prevents them from going inside for a few hours a day.
Many of our tips and tricks are pretty simple, things you could do everyday to stay hydrated and cool down from the inside out, with a few to cool you down from the outside.
- Drink plenty of water (of course)
- Make Smoothies for breakfast or enjoy an iced coffee with your breakfast
- Eat lighter meals, choose food like salads that have plenty of water rich fruits and veggies
- Bring out your inner child with some popsicles, or get creative and make adult popsicles
- Use a cold compress on the back of your neck
- Wear loose clothing and wear sandals or go barefoot if you can
- Unplug your computer when you’re using it
- Find shade or get a shade canopy if you’re stuck outside
